So read all the same opinions as you on Amazon. Some people love it, some people have had problems. I have not seen a product with such a variety of views and was very suspicious. I bought it at a local store with good performance on the record that was sold on Amazon, no ETA on new stock.
I would say first, I have no problems that usually appear here. No lines, no humming funny squeak /, etc. The unit comes with the latest firmware installed (1.06).
